CloneMaster

Duplicate files are probably taking up a good part of your hard drive without your knowledge. These files exist in more than one location under the same name, or a different one, and you've probably long forgotten about them since they're no longer useful.

CloneMaster is an excellent application that analyzes your computer and locates these files so you can delete them and recover space on your hard drive. The comparison is made between the files bit by bit.

The application has a user-friendly interface where you can select the folders you want to analyze via a file tree. Once the analysis is finished, you'll see another tab that lists similarities that you can copy to the clipboard and print with any text editor.

CloneMaster looks for similarities in the name and size of the files, so you can find them even if the copies are saved under different names. Of course, CloneMaster will only look for duplicates with the same format type, and will only analyze hidden folders and files if you so wish.
